IMMIGRATION LAW

The immigration law landscape is constantly changing.  No one should face the maze of requirements which the US immigration system imposes without the benefit of the assistance of a skilled and experienced attorney. With over 13 years of experience working for the government, Elliot Felig knows just how challenging and intimidating the bureaucratic process can be to even the most sophisticated of clients.

Whether you are looking to obtain a green card, a visa, or to become a United States citizen, we can help you with every step of the process.

Our firm can help clients to secure a variety of non-immigrant Visas, Immigrant Visas, and also is equipped to handle Deportation Defense and provide assistance to those seeking to obtain political asylum or refugee status within the United States.

We can provide guidance, for example, for those who may qualify for an employment-based Visa, designated under the categories EB-1, EB-2, EB-3, EB-4, or EB-5.  Those who obtain a visa with the EB designation can receive permanent resident status.  It is available to a wide variety of people with various types of qualifications depending on their field or profession.

Some individuals may be eligible to enter the United States and remain legally in the US for up to five years via an Investment Visa, known as an E-2 Visa, which is available to those who make a commitment to investing in the United States.  This Visa may be available to those who qualify by being an owner or member of either a startup business or even an existing business which intends to expand its operations in the United States.

Individuals who have demonstrated extraordinary ability and accomplishment in a variety of designated fields may qualify for an O-Visa.  These visas are available to those who have demonstrated aptitude in the arts, sciences, business, sports, or education.  There are a variety of options within the O-Visa category, including an O-1A Visa, for those with extraordinary ability in the areas of education, science, business or athletics; the O-1B Visa, for those with extraordinary accomplishments in the arts; the O-2 Visa, for those who provide integral assistance to those engaged in the arts or sciences under another O Visa; and the O-3 Visa, for the spouses and children of those granted other qualified O Visas.

Family Visas, designated as F Visas, are available in limited numbers to the family members of permanent residents and Green Card holders, under the designation F-1, F-2, F-3 and F-4.

In many cases, individuals are unaware of the various options available to them and therefore we can provide that information to you in order to help you determine which option is most viable for your particular situation.

We will work with each client to thoroughly review their background, concerns, and goals, and then decide what course of action to take. Clients are always kept completely involved in the preparation and conduct of their cases, and kept informed every step of the way.

Given the variety of options available, and the many related requirements imposed by each particular course, no one should face the process without the guidance which an experienced attorney can provide.  To see if we can help, contact us at 212-828-2770
